Among the group's latest announcements, Meta has announced the launch of its metaverse academy in France for the start of the 2022 school year.

A school to learn all about metaverseThe technology of the future. This is the promise of the academy launched by the group. For this new project, Meta is partnering with the free school network Simplon.co which brings together training centres dedicated to digital professions. The school aims to make digital technology accessible to as many people as possible, values that are fully in line with Meta's objectives. Indeed, the group wishes to create a complete ecosystem in order to anticipate the internet of the future and the next evolutions.
These free training courses will start in the autumn of 2022 in four major cities: Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Nice. 20 people will be welcomed in each city to begin with. For this first year, the group has announced that about 100 people will be trained. The training could then be extended to other cities and continue its development. Regarding the curriculum, no specific diploma is required to access the training. The programme is organised in two main phases and will be more focused on 3D and interaction in worlds. To begin with, between three and six months, an intensive session will be set up to give the learners all the necessary and indispensable knowledge on the subject. They will then work in partner companies for a period of 12 to 18 months.
